As an external relations intern for CSIS, I provided assistance to the Chief Communications Officer and the Vice President of Communications. Some responsibilities I fulfilled are below:
- Conducted research for quick turnaround memos for CSIS’s flagship podcast, The Truth of The Matter, which boasts an audience of over 63 thousand listeners.
- Crafted media advisories, event mailings and press lists.
- Production assistant for the Center’s Asked and Answered video series on Instagram and YouTube.
National Education Association
I worked as an editorial intern for the National Education Association, the largest union in America, where I wrote, researched, proposed and executed articles pertinent to its members. I was given the opportunity to research and write the cover story for its Aspiring Educators magazine on how to create a positive environment in classrooms, especially when politics now impact the education field.
